The Shimano 600 FC-6400 is a classic piece of Japanese road cycling heritage — the predecessor to what eventually became Ultegra — and this example shows the hallmark four-arm alloy spider, polished silver finish, and square taper bottom bracket interface that made it a staple on quality road bikes through the late 1980s and early 1990s. The crank arm is clearly stamped FC-6400 with a 172.5mm length, and the chainrings are marked Shimano SG with a 52t outer and 39t inner, both showing the characteristic narrow-profile teeth of that era. The square taper spindle interface makes this a straightforward install with a compatible JIS or ISO square taper bottom bracket.
