The 2015 Cannondale Scalpel 29 Team XTR is one of the most coveted cross-country race machines of its era, and this Large example arrives ready to shred with the kind of spec sheet that still turns heads today. Built around a full carbon frame and paired with Cannondale's iconic single-leg Lefty Carbon XLR fork, the ride quality is precise and lively in a way that modern bikes struggle to replicate. Suspension duties out back are handled by a Fox Float Factory Series shock with Kashima coating — a premium touch that ensures buttery-smooth compliance on technical terrain. The drivetrain is a mixed-brand highlight, pairing a SRAM Carbon 2x10 crankset with Shimano XTR rear derailleur and Shimano XT front derailleur, rolling through a wide-range 11-36T XT cassette. Shimano XTR BL-M988 hydraulic disc brakes with Ice Tech rotors deliver confident stopping power, while Stan's NoTubes ZTR Arch EX 29er wheels wrapped in tubeless Maxxis Forekaster 2.25s keep rolling weight low and grip high. The frame shows light scuffs and scratches consistent with trail use, but the tires have plenty of tread left and the bike is fully functional — an exceptional value on a machine that originally retailed for $8,000.
