The 2017 Trek Top Fuel 9.8 SL in XL is one of the most capable cross-country full-suspension rigs Trek ever built, and this example is available at a fraction of its original $5,299 MSRP. The striking light blue OCLV carbon frame with bold red graphics looks fantastic in person, showing only minor scuffs and light wear marks consistent with trail use — structurally sound with no concerns. Up front, a RockShox SID XX Solo Air fork with Motion Control damper and remote lockout keeps weight low while handling technical terrain with ease, paired to a fully serviced RockShox Monarch XX rear shock. The 1x11 SRAM drivetrain — X01 Carbon Type 2 rear derailleur, X1 trigger shifters, and a wide-range XG-1175 10-42 cassette — rolls on DT Swiss X1700 wheels wrapped in tubeless-ready Bontrager XR1 Team Issue 29x2.20 tires with good tread remaining. Shimano Deore XT hydraulic disc brakes with Ice Tech rotors provide reliable stopping power. Cockpit highlights include a carbon Bontrager Race X Lite bar and stem. This bike is ideally suited to a tall, performance-focused XC or trail rider ready to spend more time riding and less time wrenching.
